Elm Mott is an unincorporated community in McLennan County, Texas and is part of the Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area was settled shortly after the Civil War and was known as Geneva until 1872, when residents applied for a post office. Since there was already a city named Geneva, residents chose the name Elm Mott after a nearby elm grove.
